Kabuto Katana is a men's grooming brand rooted in the Japanese warrior tradition, named after the samurai helmet (kabuto) and the sword (katana). The range covers hair styling (wax, gel, spray), hair care (shampoo, conditioner, tonic), after shave colognes, skin care and hair color. Avida Cosmetics is the exclusive distributor for Austria. The formulas pair Japanese-inspired grooming rituals with Austrian care, and are used daily by professional barbers and hairdressers in salons across the country. ### Are the products vegan? Yes. All Kabuto Katana formulations are vegan – no animal-derived ingredients, no beeswax, no animal by-products. Instead we use plant-based and mineral actives such as plant-derived keratin, coconut oil, olive oil, eucalyptus, menthol and shea butter. The vegan recipe applies to the entire range, from wax and shampoo to after shave cologne and skin care. ### What does «dermatologically tested» mean for Kabuto? Our products undergo independent dermatological testing for skin compatibility. The tests are run as controlled studies with human volunteers – never on animals – and assess irritation potential and tolerability under repeated use. We hold genuine certificates for this; the «dermatologically tested» claim is therefore documented, not just marketing language. If you have known allergies, we still recommend checking the full INCI list printed on every product. ### Do you test on animals? No. Kabuto Katana does not conduct animal testing and does not commission it – neither for finished products nor for raw materials. Animal testing for cosmetics has been banned in the EU since 2013; we go beyond that by requiring cruelty-free raw materials throughout our supply chain. As a consumer in Austria you have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from receipt of the goods (FAGG). Within this period you may return unopened products without giving any reason and receive a refund of the purchase price. Excluded from withdrawal for hygiene reasons are cosmetic products that were sealed on delivery and whose seal was removed after delivery (e.g. opened tubes, jars, spray bottles).
