Gamma+ Extra Pro LCD Hair Straightener

The Gamma+ Extra Pro LCD is a straightening iron for the blow-dry station next to the chair. The dryer takes the moisture out and sets the rough direction; the iron then fixes the shape on the strand itself, drawing two heated plates from the roots through to the ends. It is the finishing tool after washing and drying — it does not shorten hair, that stays the job of clipper and scissors.

The plates measure 25.5 × 89 mm and carry a nano titanium coating; the manufacturer states a high degree of glide as well as shine and a silky feel in the hair. The plates are spring-loaded. Temperature is set electronically in steps from 150 to 230 °C. The LCD display keeps the chosen setting readable, so the same setting can be found again for the next client.
